Roland Fadina is a powerhouse of knowledge and passion in agriculture. With a Bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Agronomic Sciences of the UAC in Benin and a Master’s from ESA in Angers, France, Roland brings over 10 years of experience to iCRA. He has been pivotal in capacity-building projects for agricultural entrepreneurs, working with organizations like TechnoServe, the National Association of Pineapple Processors of Benin (ANATRAB), and the Communal Union of Producers (UCP) of Zogbodomey. Roland has also served as an independent consultant for various organizations across Benin and the sub-region.
At iCRA, Roland excels as an Agribusiness partnership facilitator and coach. He coordinates the annual ‘Making Agribusiness Work’ blended courses, manages projects on value chain development and agribusiness partnerships, and delivers trainings with other iCRA trainers. His focus on West Africa ensures that iCRA’s impact is both local and regional.
Roland’s expertise spans learning and training, capacity development in agriculture, entrepreneurship, agribusiness, and the management of farmer-based organizations. His knack for translating complex concepts into practical solutions has greatly benefited numerous projects and programs.
Calm and friendly, Roland is always ready to help. He is a dedicated team player with excellent leadership skills. Married with three daughters, he loves spending quality time with his family and is an avid traveler. His life motto, ‘Smile at life and life will smile at you!‘, perfectly captures his positive and proactive approach to both work and life.
