Meet Pien

Pien is everywhere and where would we be without her? Not only does she have a keen eye for where the money goes, but she’s also in the know about everything and everyone!

Pien’s expertise lies at the intersection of finance and global development. Having spent her childhood in Latin America, she developed a strong motivation to contribute to reducing poverty. Although her initial career aspiration was in medicine, circumstances led her to pursue studies in IT, a decision that eventually paved the way for her transition into finance. Pien’s diverse background provides her with a unique perspective, shaped by her experiences in Kenya, Bolivia, and Zambia.

Pien is deeply passionate about environmental sustainability and combating climate change. She actively advocates for these causes within iCRA and beyond, and her passion regularly fuels debates around iCRA’s table at lunch time!

In her role as a financial officer, Pien is dedicated to finding practical solutions while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks. Her diverse experience in IT, finance and various international contexts enriches her understanding of the challenges faced by iCRA’s experts, enabling her to tailor financial strategies that align with the organization’s mission. Despite the complexities inherent in her role, Pien’s pragmatic approach ensures that iCRA remains agile and effective in delivering impactful solutions.
