Practice-based education in Benin
This project strengthened TVET’s agricultural training programs. The aim was to support food security and nutrition in Benin. We equipped trainers to deliver student-centred, practiced-based education. This prepares young people entering the agricultural labor market to secure employment.
Learning Together
The project consortium designed interventions around existing relationships between Dutch members and partner TVETs. The first step was to conduct a participatory labor market needs assessment. The TVET’s current training programs were then assessed against the labor market’s needs. Then iCRA then designed a training and coaching program. Our training equipped teachers to integrate practice-based learning, revise curricula and improve internships. iCRA developed a series of videos to disseminate this project’s results and innovations.
