Meet Irene

Meet Irene Njogu, a seasoned Agri-Value Chain Specialist and, since 2019, one of iCRA’s in-country partners. Irene is based in Kenya and has over 15 years of experience in the agriculture sector across East Africa. She has played a pivotal role in value chain development in the horticulture, dairy, and cereal sectors. Irene’s expertise extends to training and mentoring. She has over 1,000 hours of experience facilitating adult learning. She’s expertise and aptitude for building relationships has enhanced iCRA’s impact on food security and agribusiness across the region.

Irene is integral to iCRA’s course “Making Agribusiness Work” and delivers tailored training within projects. Her engaging, practical style is always appreciate by participants. Irene has also been involved in key agricultural projects, such as the 2-SCALE Project in Kenya and the Agri-connect project in Tanzania, where she contributed to forming and coaching agribusiness networks.

Irene is also passionate about scaling up her business, Lishar Fields Fresh Produce Limited, which exports fresh aloe leaves to international markets.
